Bulgogi Brothers in Makati

My Tatay and sister have a penchant for eating Korean food. One weekend we were all in Makati, we opted to eat at the newly opened Bulgogi Brothers at Greenbelt 5.

Obviously costing more than other restaurants in other parts of Greenbelt, we expected the service and food quality to be at par. And it was!

Mom got there first and she already practically finished the complimentary appetizers.  A lover of corn and salads, we had to request for another serving. Since then, I've been having Kimchi salads at home too.

For our mains, we ordered the Sogogi Japchae, which is simply glass noodles with beef. There were four of us sharing so despite the appetizers, the Japchae was gone in an instant.
We also ordered the Dubu Steak, literally tofu steak with teriyaki sauce. Once again, the dish was not enough and not filling enough either. As expected with tofu.
And for the main event, we ordered Bulgogi. It's just that I cannot remember which one. It was very tasty and tender and grilled on the table itself. Just like the salad, this one is worth coming back to.

Since the Bulgogi, and even bowls of steamed rice were not enough, we also ordered Haemul Doenjang-jjigae, which is a seafood and tofu stew. I've always loved stews like this, which I can't seem to ever like at Kaya anymore.

For dessert, they had baskets of Korean ice cream. The red bean ice cream shaped like a fish was a winner together with the melon one.

I would love to come back to Bulgogi Brothers except that if there's just two of you dining, you won't be able to sample the other dishes, yet if there's more of you, you have to order at least two servings of each viand, otherwise you'll feel like you did not eat enough.
